Bengaluru Metro Worker Electrocuted at Trinity Station Construction Site; FIR Registered Against Four BMRCL Officials

An FIR has been registered against four BMRCL officials following the death of a labourer who was electrocuted during metro construction work in Bengaluru.

The deceased worker's son, Murthy, filed a complaint at Halasuru Police Station, alleging that the officials showed negligence during the work.

What Happened?

The incident took place on Friday, June 26, at around 3:52 PM. Earth-pit excavation work was under way near pillar number 153 outside Trinity Metro Station when worker Guruvappa received a severe electric shock.

He was immediately rushed to the emergency department of St. Philomena's Hospital. However, doctors confirmed that he had died before reaching the hospital.

Based on the family's complaint, police have registered an FIR against four BMRCL officials on charges of negligence.
