Karnataka Voter Roll Special Intensive Revision Begins Today; BLOs to Visit Every Home, Bengaluru Helpline Activated
The Election Commission of India officially launched Karnataka's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter rolls on June 30, deploying 59,050 Booth Level Officers for door-to-door visits until July 29. CM D.K. Shivakumar urged every voter to fill the enumeration form submitted by BLOs, warning that failure to do so risks losing both voting rights and access to government welfare schemes; a dedicated helpline has been activated for Bengaluru Urban district.
