Bengaluru, May 3: Hailstorms have been battering Karnataka for three consecutive days, and the India Meteorological Department (IMD) and the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) warn the rough weather will continue for at least three more days across south interior districts.
Bengaluru will remain partly cloudy with thundershowers likely in the evening or night hours. Winds during storm periods may reach 30–40 km/h. Residents are advised to seek shelter during thunderstorm activity.

The south interior districts of Tumakuru, Chikkaballapur, Kolar, Bengaluru Rural, Bengaluru Urban, Chamarajanagar, Ramanagara, Mandya, Mysuru, Kodagu, Hassan, and Chikkamagaluru are all expected to see heavy thunderstorms with gusty winds at 30–40 km/h.
Wednesday evening's downpour in Bengaluru claimed multiple lives. A youth died after coming into contact with a live electric wire within the JP Nagar police station limits. Earlier, seven people were killed when the compound wall of Bowring Hospital in Shivajinagar collapsed under the force of the rain.
