Bengaluru, May 3: A disturbing incident has come to light under the limits of Bagalagunte Police Station in Dasarahalli, where a pregnant woman was thrown out of her home by her husband who allegedly wanted her out of the way for an extramarital affair. Jagadeep (42), a security in-charge with BMTC, stands accused of betraying his wife Shweta (32). The couple had married 14 years ago and were living together in government quarters in Jayanagar.

Shweta noticed significant changes in her husband's behaviour and, growing suspicious, checked his WhatsApp messages — through which she discovered he was carrying on an illicit relationship with another woman. When she confronted him about the affair, Jagadeep physically assaulted her. He also pressured the six-month pregnant Shweta, telling her, "Abort the child — I don't want you," subjecting her to continued harassment.

About six months ago, Jagadeep threw his pregnant wife out of the house, leaving her with no support or shelter. Shweta, seeking justice, has now stepped up to Bagalagunte Police Station and filed a complaint, appealing to authorities to take legal action against her husband and ensure she receives justice.
